EZI1 is an electronic transducer for the exact measurement of power and energy at a high input range for current (0.25A...25A) and voltage (86V...254V). The accuracy of the measuring value is 0.1%, in the range 0.02A to 0.25A it is 0.5%. The pulse output of the standard version is designed for 25 pulses per watt-hour (1 pulse for 144 Ws). Due to the wide measuring range, the transducer has a higher resolution and accuracy than common induction meters. The analogue output (0...10VDC) can be set to full scale values in the range 100...3600W by the manufacturer. All inputs and outputs such as current path, voltage path, pulse output, analogue output and auxiliary supply are isolated against each other (test voltage 3kVtrms). This simplifies the system design and allows easy integration of the EZI1 into measuring data recording and control systems.
Application:
Due to its accuracy and high resolution, the monophase energy meter EZI1 is capable of determining the energy consumption of all kinds of devices. It is especially suited for applications where measuring values have to be picked up for different operating conditions at short measuring times, as in quality control and production. When measuring motors with high starting currents and many on-off switching cycles, the starting peak values will influence the total consumption considerably. Examples for such applications are compressors for refrigerators and oil-burner motors. In these cases, the EZI1 with its wide current range and high accuracy is the ideal measuring instrument for the exact determination of power and energy.
