Application
The breakout box BOB-CEE3 is used for the simple and elegant measurement of 3-phase loads, which are supplied via a CEE socket. With this box the metrological access to each head of a CEE coupling is possible. Phase currents and voltages can be tapped and a measuring device for determining effective values, power, energy and other electrical quantities are supplied. On the measurement object itself need except for the interposition of the box with no alterations or repairs are attempted.
Design
The breakout box BOB CEE3 has a 2 m long supply line with 5-pole CEE plug, as well as a built-in box 5-pole CEE socket into which the CEE socket connector of the consumer is connected. For the measurement of the currents in the conductors L1, L2 and L3 and the neutral conductor N these conductors are interrupted and terminated in 4 mm standard jacks. These jacks are arranged so that the current flow can be restored with standard 19 mm short-circuit bridges, in case it does not take place via the current path of a measuring instrument. Four pairs of sockets for measuring voltages L1-N, L2-N, L3-N and N-PE are available. The wiring of the breakout box is designed for a current correct measurement from the consumer point of view. The breakout box also has a 16 A safety socket for the supply of the power meter, a laptop or similar. The auxiliary power consumption via the AC outlet for other equipment is not measured. However, it should be noted that in regenerative operation states of the consumption of the auxiliary supply is an additional energy drain. In order to measure only the power fed into the grid in these states, the other measuring equipment must be separated and otherwise power supplied.
A safety feature is the test socket arrangement among each other. With the included standard 19 mm jumper in extremely rigid insulating only the socket pairs for the current measurement can be bridged if the power is not to be measured. The distance between all other female couples is spaced differently. In this way unintentional bridges, and thus a short-circuiting, is prevented.
There are two versions of the breakout box available for consumers up to 16 A and 32 A. The 32 A version of the AC outlet is protected by a 16A circuit breaker.
